10 amazing lessons to course before the one to one assessments. After watching this pills, be sure to book an appointment and practice with the advisor what you just learned.
Hello again! Done so soon? Congratulations for reaching this point! This means you have a CANVAS, and you already had your first Assessment meeting. It also means that you already corrected the pointed out mistakes and followed the guidelines of the advisor. This is your CANVAS is your final copy and we’ll be using it often to clear the image you have of your project. Otherwise, pause this video and go correct them. Com back ASAP when you’re ready!
Very well! The CANVAS is like the solid foundations of a future building. Follow the clear image you now possess and we can begin materializing your project.
Now here’s where the journey turns fun. Take your CANVAS and translate it into… well, whatever you have imagined.
For instance, if you designed a podcast ask yourself the most important questions: What kind of image will I project? Is it serious? Is it a comedy hour show? Are you planning to inform something relevant? The best way to do this is to write it, do a flow chart, Diagram, or sketch, really anything besides keeping it inside your mind. Then keep translating it into your own words, until it looks like a clear and concise idea to yourself and your advisor.
The last translation should be a long text that includes the most important contents and all the corrected tips the advisor gave you.
For example, if I’m building a podcast show this should be the translation of the CANVAS.
Podcast Name: Mysteries of the Universe with Ninjakat.
Logo: Kat mascot in a spacesuit.
Periodicity: 1 weekly podcast of 30 minutes.
Contents: Every week we will analyze the most uncertain and remote places of the universe.
Resources: recorded in my computer, edited in the free video editor, uploaded to wall, important podcast stream platforms, publicized on social networks.
Partners: special invites every week (List them all)
etc.
Fill them in any particular order you wish but try to not leave anything out or leave blank spaces. Everything that was in your canvas should fit into this structure.
If your project is hard to explain, please be as creative and clear as possible. The project outcome depends on your ability to transmit an idea.
When you’re done remember to turn it in so your advisor can edit it.
Before you leave, one last section to go. Remember, this course is about public speaking and English oratory, reading out loud your ideas might help you in the process. Find all the resources available to you in real life: Read to a friend, present your idea to a family member, or at least repeat it to yourself in front of a mirror.
While exposing remember to follow one very simple structure that every single story or text has to follow. Introduction, plot, ending, and conclusion.
Logically you’ll have to divide your text into sections and fit them into one of these categories. No worries will take a closer look next lesson.
We promise that if you turn this structure into a must-do rule, every single text you create will have a lot more sense.
That’s it for today remember to book a meeting! See you soon!
